Whadup

My bad I've been a bit caught and haven't been able to update my blog. So here's a quick run down on what I've been up to.
I did a solo Art Exhibit at Jerry's Artarama in which I debuted the new serires I out together. Then I was in the Art Walk on NorthWood Village which was pretty incredible.

Continuing with this style I created a few more pieces

for me check my Facebook Page

I was tapped by Dj Menace to create two pieces for his upcoming video "I know God". He wanted one of Jesus and the other of The Devil. The trick was he didn't want Jesus to have any recognizeable features. So that worked out great, filming started yesterday and was great. Looking fiorward to filming my scenes.

New Art Work / Summertime Art walk in Northwood Village by A.T.B. Fine Artists & Designers LLC. #SupportArt #ArtLife

I've been slipping with posting new artwork, my apologies. The last piece which I made last night early this morning is a Justin Bua/ Frank Morrison influenced style. The piece is called "Heavy Is The Head That Wears The Crown". It's inspired by the mounting pressure that President Obama faces as he gears towards the election in November. Truth is no one ever no knows the pressure of being King, until they are king.

"From My Lips To God's Ears"

Olympic Flight: Gabby Douglas is a piece inspired by the sensational gold medial winning Gabby. She inspired me in this years Olympics. If I ever have I daughter, I will want her to look up to Gabby.

"Play Me A Dreamer's Melody"

Both Olympic Flight  & Melody are sold and mark my first International art sales. One headed to Belgium, the other Canada,

Collaboration: Boys to Men Art Expo last night #ArtLife

Last night I was honored to be apart of A.T.B. Fine Aristis & Designs/ Collaborations "Boys To Men Art Expo". A one night only art exhibit made of 12 incredibly talented visual artist ranging from 16 to 75.

Anthony & Trina Burks welcome you to Collaboration: Boys to Men Art Expo, where you can experience a variety of art in different disciplines and appreciations produced by professional male artists in the Palm Beach community from ages 16-90. The art will be available for sale so please support our artists.

Art visionaries Bruce Helander& Paul Fisher partnered alongside A.T.B. Fine Artists & Designers to allow this show to happen. . The building owner in conjunction with Christian Angle Real Estate was generous enough to provide the space to allow an array of outstanding art exhibitions such as this to go on during 2012

The works displayed were amazing. A lot of the artist of men I look up to and admire, for myself to be allowed to be have more work on the same walls as them was priceless. I made a interesting friendship with Steve Blouse, whose pieces I was next to. Cool thing is his works are reminiscent of Keith Haring, and I'm a huge Basquiat fan so I'll let my fellow art lovers figure out why we are 'kindred spirits' as Trina put it. Unfortunately do to a series of misfortune events to put it lightly I spent most out wondering the streets. Nonetheless a amazing show, incredible thing. You have to love Anthony & Trina Burks for their hard work and dedication. And also a special thank you to Bruce Helander & Paul Fisher.

News article in the PBPulse about me

Just taking the time to update my blog. I was featured in PBPulse.com article called "Discover Local Artist: Jason Fleurant" written by Christine Davis. I'm really honored in her believing in me and my work enough to write this beautiful article. It's one of my biggest highlights to know I was featured in a article in my own home. There is something about seeing my name, my father's name Fleurant in places for positive reasons.

Now I'm on a mission to get more articles/features.

Also thank you for making "PiecesOfMe" a successful exhibit. It was overwhelming to see all the artwork and people. Looking forward to the next things such as Saturday's exhibit "Collaborations : Boys To Men Art Expo"

"PiecesOfME" OUR Art Exhibit & Other Upcoming Shows I'll Be IN

A cool way to show that there is a real appreciation of art. "PiecesOfMe" is not a solo art showcase but a group art showcase unlike any other. A one night only group exhibit, where YOU play the major role by bringing the artwork that you own that I created. Because you own a Piece of ME which is now a piece of you

This a great innovative way to show art appreciation on another level, people always complain we don't support each other here's a chance to prove them wrong. If you can't make it but have some of my artwork, contact me so I can arrange to pick them up for the show, you WILL get them back.

I will be unveiling a new piece that night tho, which will be available for sale at Collaboration Boys to Men Art Expo on the 28th of this month. Also I will have a canvas setup for everyone to paint on so that at the end of the night WE will of created OUR own piece of art together.

An Inspiring Week from Times Square to Speaking to Kids

This week has got to of been one of the most proudest weeks in my life. Who of thought two years ago my name for a moment in time would be in lights in Times Square or that I would be in a classroom of eager young artists inspiring them.

My homie Asif invited me to speak to the kids at Palm Beach State College summer art class program. Those kids are amazing and intelligent. Great questions, this one kid walk up to me asking if I could sign one of HIS pieces of art. I was so flattered and told him I couldn't because that's his work. A girl no older than 11 asked me for my website so she could tell her parents she met someone famous, I was like I'm not famous lol another kid busted out well ur still a celebrity even if locally. These kids were to cool. There trying to work it were I came book a few more times to talk to other kids. Crazy dope experience, shout out 2 Asif aka Bruno Mars lol

And of course there was Monday. While I was at work in West Palm Beach, Fl for a moment in time my painting "You Don't Know My Name" along with my name shine of the screen in Times Square, NYC! I am still humbled by the experience and know there was literally no way that didn't happen without all the support. Thank you all

I'm still searching for more pics/video of this
