Thoughts on being a Black Haitian Artist

Nothing major, just expressing my thoughts on being a black, Haitian artist. I'm a fan of titles or labels, but these are labels I'm starting to noticed associated with me more and more because of the obvious. Nonetheless, while I understand there basis, I'm still not crazy about it.

"It's not who I am underneath, but what I DO that defines me" - Batman.

On another note, this Wednesday, January 11th I alongside Daniel Fortune will be showcasing art at Poetry Uncorked: Painted Words & Spoken Art Featuring Fortune & Fleurant. It's being held at Dolce Vita Wines, 609 Lake Ave, Lake Worth. Great poetry and art.
