Politics as Usual (painting)

Politics as Usual
16in x 20in
Acrylic on canvas

With this piece I wanted address that as the lives of unarmed black men and women are piling up from police brutality and wall symbolizes how America rather ignore and block the issue, I also wanted to address black on black violence. And how innocents are slain everyday at our own hands. They use idea of "black on black violence"  as an excuse to brush off the police brutality and an system set against us. We are being an obstacle defeating progress by senselessly killing each other. This is not to let America off the hook but an overall examination.
