The thing I've gathered over time is an understanding of the beauty of the moment. Life is precious, fragile and we tend to miss all the best parts. One of the great things about art is capturing the moment, and highlighting it.
While people watching one day on clematis, i pulled out my sketchbook with intent of finding a mundane moment and showing its beauty.
That's when i saw this mother with her child strapped in front of her. She gently swayed back and forth, side to side with delight for her newborn.
So i tried my best to capture it. I call it "Bonding" . Its 16in x 20in, Acrylic on canvas panel and will be getting raffle off to benefit Breast Cancer Awareness this Friday at The Stage Open Mic
